Hij was voetballer van 1967 tot 1970 en speelde bij clubs als
Vita Club uit Kinshasa en het nationale Léopards du Zaïre. Ook
speelde hij bij twee clubs uit Brussel waaronder Charleroi. Maar
vooral maakte Mayaoula Mayoni naam als schrijver en zanger
voor le T.P O.K. Jazz van meester Franco. Op deze elpee vinden
we hem samen met de African All Stars onder bezielende leiding
van Mâitre Dizzy Mandjekou. Ook Syran Mbenza, Lokassa ya
Mbongo, Bento, Jean, Moya Ringo en Asi Kapela zijn van de partij.
He was professional soccer player from 1967 till 1970 and played
with clubs like Vita Club from Kinshasa and the national team
Léopards du Zaïre but also with two clubs from Bruxelles among
which Charleroi. However we especially know Mayaoula Mayoni
as composer singer from Franco’s T.P.O.K. Jazz. On this album we
find him together with the African All Stars led by the great Mâitre
Dizzy Mandjekou. Also present were Syran Mbenza, Lokassa ya
Mbongo, Bento, Jean, Moya Ringo and Asi Kapela, give it a spin..
